Knighty, i have no doubt there are some racists in the tea party. just like in the democratic party. or the republican party. or on the police force. or in any large group. the natural human tribal instinct has been all too often directed at simple, meaningless things like race. divide and conquer - keep the "small people" fighting while the super rich people loot them dry. then the super rich people promise loans to "save" the little people - except with stipulations like privatized rain water - all b/c they have the ability to create money from absolutely nothing. alladin's lamp with unlimited wishes - but oppression for the masses.

The success of the Tea Party is probably the last hope for America to escape from the corruption and economic incompetence of government before it's too late avoid a currency collapse or massive deflation. There is only one peaceful way we can escape this mess. 1. Dismantle the Fed and reinstate a monetary system that ties the hand of government and the banking elite from printing money, confiscating wealth via the back door, funding the welfare and warfare state, manipulating markets etc... 2. Slow the growth of government spending to below the growth of nominal GDP and allow economic growth to slowly balance the budget, move to surplus, and pay down debt. That will involve reordering our priorities, reducing our military presence almost everywhere, and breaking some of the promises of medicare, medicaid, and SS by primarily targeting the benefits of the rich and upper middle class. The long term goal should be to turn those bankrupt programs into welfare systems instead broader systems for all. 3. Secure the borders and deport every illegal alien we stumble onto as a matter of routine law enforcement. If this is not done and very soon, the only other solution is violent revolution with the moral justification of self defense against thieves, corrupt government and private citizens, incompetents, and monumentally brain dead socialists. If that is not done, it's every man for himself. The smart ones among us will slowly begin moving their assets out of the country and either turn in their citizenship or live under cover overseas. It's really that simple. The rest of it is all bullshit.
