The US Media then loved the US and its citizens and it showed. And we, the people, had radio, but no TV, and the movies only had The Weekly News (or what ever the Movies showed as news) once a week at the movies...then only for a few minutes, and several weeks out of date. So magazines were very much read and enjoyed and passed on.

I LOVED Life, read and enjoyed much of the Post, and sometimes read cover to cover Time, and occasionally Newsweek.
