And when you consider that list of Republican hopefuls in 2012 in the Gallup poll I posted, no one there is exciting moderate voters as their potential savior. Quite the contrary, each has a track record of driving up their negatives the more visible they become in campaigns.

Did anyone post this remarkable Op-Ed by Krauthammer? I kept waiting for him to slam Obama but he never did. Hmm, interesting. We read it differently. I thought the entire column was a slam against Obama. I read its frame as Obama is, successfully, rewriting the country into something hideous like a social democracy. And watch out, all you conservatives, don't underestimate how much he's done, how much is according to plan, and their plans to make the goal the 2012 election, not the 2010. To me it just snarled, line by line. Obama is as good at this rewriting business as our personal idol, Reagan, was at it. So watch out. And prepare for the long war.
