Hi Eric ..

Thanks for the reminder ..
Caught the first two episodes last night ..

The 'solutions' proffered so far were a bit weak ..

$10 million for a kite/wind turbine that doesn't fly well ..

CSP augmented with combustion of olive pits ..

Billions for fusion experiments that don't work yet,
though they were able to hit the 'target' with the lasers ..

My doom-o-meter when up a few notches !!

Triff ..

re DISCOVERY CHANNEL’S POWERING THE FUTURE:

Watched it last night, with my wife and son. It's good to have the topic presented to the public, but I thought it was a superficial presentation. They gave a laundry list of ideas, some good, some goofy. "Try everything" is a better slogan than "Do nothing", or "drill, baby, drill", I suppose.

Sponsored by Shell. Seems like every bit of info put in front of the public, is sponsored by some big corporation with a big agenda.
