Forrest had him outnumbered 3 to 1 yet Ingersoll still outfoxed him. Too bad that "Fox" guy "mysteriously" failed to burn the bridge!

No matter. Both sides fought from their "relative" value systems--brother against brother...conscience against conscience. Ingersoll was on the winning side because he had more wisdom. His side won and he won...and "Liberty For All" won.

He fought his fight (and so did the gallant, Forrest!). They are both gone to dust now but they both did their duty in their heart. Forrest fought on the Christian "keep slaves to grow cotton side" but he did not know any better...

Now the slaves are free--and so is Forrest--a great warrior.
