It's a bizarre argument you make. You have to explain to me how TAXING a union benefit, starting now or in 2018, is preferential treatment. Yeah...preferential if you DON't belong to union. That's just weird... The preferential treatment is that non-union workers who have comparable plans are taxed at an earlier date. I'm surprised that you didn't follow this. At first it was anyone with a cadillac plan and then the unions raised a stink and got exempted until 2018. The fact that you don't understand that this is giving preferential treatment to a group for political reasons is somewhat astounding.
