I am more comfortable within my immediate clique of family and friends. Outside of helping my family and close friends, I don't volunteer much. I consider it rude if someone doesn't call before coming over......even my kids (except in emergencies.) The problem for Republicans/Conservatives is they are very family oriented and don't get as involved with affairs outside the family circle as liberals do. That is just a fact.

How many here volunteer to help the poor, indigent, weaker among us? How many serve food at a 1/2 way house, help with setting up meetings for church, walk an abandoned dog or conduct bingo sessions at the local old folks home on a regular basis?

With a lack of organization and get out the vote effort and the lack of relationship building, many potentially winnable races will be lost simply because there is no there, there.
