House Bill 3534 which I had to review for work, would give the President the authority through crazy regulations to effectively stop all drilling forever and not only that would give him the power to stop all energy production including renewable energy sources such as solar and wind and hydroketic power sources. Scary stuff.

1) There is no ban on current production.

2) There is no ban on 'shallow waters' exploration either....

3) Only the *temporary* hold on DEEP WATER exploration (not production)... and only until satisfactory safety procedures can be agreed upon to prevent a repetition of the current HUGE and EXPENSIVE and DISRUPTIVE disaster.
