Sure, but that's for ONE of their crimes. There's nothing to stop the gummint from going after GS for other crimes. Nothing stops private parties from suing for damages.

Many people seem to think the settlement was for EVERYTHING GS has done, wiping their slate clean. Not so.

Its not nothing but it is a piddling amount compared to what they make. I think the judge figured who they screwed are fairly sophisticated customers, knew what the risks were and should have known better.
