Bill,
To be a day trader, it will be nearly impossible if
you have to pay the type of commissions you pay in Canada.
Assuming you pay 1% commision for a round trip.
Assuming you trade 100 times a year.
You need 1.01**100=2.7 (or make 170% before commission )
just to breakeven.
If you trade 200 times a year, you need to make 630%
before commission just to breakeven.
I haven't even taken the slippage (bid and ask spread) into consideration yet.
Oh, boy.
