But oil and gas prices crashed, the economics of her pipeline project looked shaky, and the 2009 PFD was only $1,305. Then in early 2009 she tried to refuse the federal "stimulus money" from Washington, and both parties in the state legislature revolted against her. That really helped grease her slide in popularity.
