This was about a $10 Billion deal I believe, and they didn't have their financing worked out when the shit hit the fan. We drove to Lousiana over the weekend, driving from Texarkana to Shreveport in the process. It was interesting to see "Recovery Act" signs around the construction of I49. This chunk of interstate has been under construction for years -- going back probably a decade. Strangely, "recovery act" signs have appeared on portions that were under construction well before Obama even gave his little speech in '04. We've been had.
