Yet we have a 30-40 year demonstration of government guidance and control with food and medical treatment guidelines to address health issues such as CAD. The government drove a multitude of industries with fat is bad and grains are good and drugs to lower cholesterol. Now reviewing how these decisions were made it is quite clear that the stakeholders who were to gain prestige or immense profit won over good science. The government / food / pharma complex is responsible for the vast majority of the obesity problem and all the misery it brings.
