>on't tell me you think we have "about the right amount of government" if you are also for universal health care, the takeover of utilities, the bailout of unions and Wall Street firms, and the forced licensing of IP "for the good of society."

I'm for universal health insurance. It's based on bureaucracies we already have and that people like.

I'm very iffy on the takeover of utilities. There'd have to be a damn good reason.

I don't care about bailing out unions. I do care about bailing out industries that employ millions of Americans in decent paying jobs and that do productive work. Union/nonunion, I don't care. But that doesn't enlarge government.

I wish we didn't have to bailout Wall Street firms. I'd like to break them up so that we don't have to again. But that doesn't enlarge government.

And I do think that having monopolies license IP is a good thing. But it's nothing we haven't done before.
