Microsoft is going down fast. maybe no future in the smartphone business unless they major restructure, they did not build cash during the downturn, nor did they cost cut and layoff 20% of the work force. they just stumbled on, lost all possible credibility in Vista, had to scramble to let out Windows 7, but just last week had to stop the end of life on XP due to delays.

They are unable to INVENT anything. They are followers, they are Poor followers. They only enter a market now to spoil a market, not to lead a market. What is up with Windows Media Center? Terrible and clumsy. But it is keeping others out.

What is up wtih Outlook after all these years? Clumsy and hard to use. Hard to work with on the server side, slow, old thinking. But they keep on doing it to keep their hold on it.

Mobile phone group is a mess. No idea who is to lead it and how to get it going. Windows 7 Mobile is a mess.

So, do your comparison now...

take a look at a 65% margin business at about the same market cap. 35cent dividend, 2% yeild, $6B in cash, flat share price for 10 years ( infact their chart looks pretty much just like QCOM chart).

No new innovation, totally blown their entry into the market place, had to scrap an entire product line and rescue it, had to devastate their smartphone group, no good leadership, etc...

People are also calling for the canning of hte CEO there.

Guess who it is

ok, ok, i give!! Certainly its not MOT, they got a leader Qcom should have promoted; nor is it BRCM, nor TI, and of course its not NOk. I'm sure I'll appreciate your point once u tell me the company
