All of this would have been avoided if Greenspan, Rubin and Summers hadn't put Brooksley Born on the barbecue when she was head of the CFTC. She wanted to put those financal WMD's on the exchange but no.... It's not Bush's fault the system almost blew up. If you think that you're not listening to any number of accounts of what took place way before he got there. As long as the cheap credit kept flowing courtesy of the Fed (Greenspan's and Bernanke's), everything was great...until it wasn't.

I answered the question. Geithner is not an idiot. I don't hold him or any Fed chief responsible for the banks and their BS. Its Bush who is the culprit. With Wall Street and their CDOs, I consider the SEC and Bush responsisble. Those are what the facts justify. Anything else is ideological BS. === How did Bush bypass the Fed regulators?
