A scene from "Its a Wonderful Squeeze", starring Shorty
as Potter and Kid C$MA as George Bailey:

A phone conversation during the Wonderful Squeeze:

Shorty: Kid, do you need any police over there. Mobs do
get pretty ugly, y'know.

Kid: No.

Shorty: Kid, I'm going all out to help in this crisis. I may lose
a fortune but I'm going to guaratee your people too.
Just tell them to bring their shares over here and I'll
pay 50 cents!

Kid: Shorty you never miss a trick do ya... WELL YOUR GONNA
MISS THIS ONE! >>>click<<<

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO C$MA!!!

Carole, your are right, most will see through his lightly veiled efforts and he is being ineffective. Basically, he just tries to convince shareholders that the stock is currently weak and on its way downward. if the shareholder says (s)he is in for the long haul, he would say that you can buy the shares cheaper when it runs down. He would point out that the stock has declined since Monday and will be down to under .20 "before you know it". It's a game to him and he is good at playing it. He can sound quite convincing, however, there is quite a bit of information about what is happening so most will ignore his attempts creating a failed attempt on his part.
