tejek,

I do not hope for financial disaster, but that is because my hopes have no place in my investment decisions.

It is funny, for if the things that many on this thread "hope" for where to come to pass, our economy would actually have a chance at a real recovery. Destroying a fraudulent system (well, letting it reach it's natural progression and thus self-destruct) would allow something like real capitalism to return to the market.

Investors could invest based on real growth again someday. Should I really buy Citi? LOL.

And at the root of it, all those bears are hoping for a little bit of truth, a little bit of accountability, and maybe a little bit of justice. It appears that many bulls would like us to put our heads in the sand, for darkness is better than light. Ironic that the "positive" bulls are the ones that wish to perpetuate the fraud.

Last, ever heard of Seligman? He is a really bright guy. He had a number of very interesting observations (based on some pretty solid data) that those with a slightly pessimistic view had a more accurate view than those slightly positive cats.

My own personal opinion is that I do not give a damn if the glass is half-full or half-empty, for if I'm thirsty I just hope half a glass is enough. And if not, I'll just go find two half-full glasses and thirsty guys can argue if the glass was described in positive or negative tones.

Good Trading
