I quueried EVG's IR about PNP and Inwentash.
Got this back in reply if anyone's interested:

Thank you for your interest in Evolving Gold. I trust the following will clarify the situation with regard to Sheldon Inwentash and Pinetree Capital.

Sheldon Inwentash is the president of Pinetree Capital, a firm which participated in a $20 million private placement with Evolving Gold, conducted in February 2008. Pinetree has been a strong supporter and long term shareholder since 2008, and has recently decided to liquidate a portion of its share holding in Evolving Gold.

Sheldon Inwentash is not an officer, employee or director of Evolving Gold, and he has not now nor has he ever had any contractual relationship with Evolving Gold. He was classified as an insider with direct interest in Evolving Gold because of his relationship with Pinetree Capital, which has held from time to time between 3% and 10% of the total shares of Evolving Gold. The size of this holding required Pinetree Capital to file insider reports. Evolving Gold management has no control or influence over the decisions made by Sheldon Inwentash with regard to Pinetree Capital's holdings in Evolving Gold.
