Oh, I CERTAIN that we are on (and have been for many years) an unsustainable fiscal path as a nation. And I'm certain that we have much heavy lifting ahead of us, many people's pet spending programs which must be reined in, many significant reforms that will be required to put things right. But I do not 'assume' that which hasn't happened yet, particularly when major policy decisions have not even been MADE yet... and I do not claim things have "already happened" (like "Trillions already spent") when they have not.
