The deal -- which has been in the works for months, but with no disclosure of terms -- will also regulate Intel's use of volume discounts for both central processing unit and graphics chips, the source said, speaking anonymously because the deal has not been finalized.

You're right but I don't think this is much of a concern. AMD is essentially Intel's only CPU competition and that business is already subject to the new rules. As for Graphics, Intel doesn't have any discrete graphics products.

We'll know more when we see some details.

what do you mean by reaches further? It's pretty straight forward?
