I would very much like to see justice brought on those who killed all those people at Lockerbie. From the investigations I have read, it had NOTHING to do with al-Megrahi. He is innocent of those crimes. Back in those pre 1991 days, Saddam Hussain of IRAQ was still our buddy and fighting a war against Iran. We were supporting Saddam in those days. Most USA embassy staff skip Pan Am 103 for that specific reason. (3) Bomb gets placed on board Pan Am 103 December 1988 and blows up over Scotland. (4) Thatcher and George Bush senior hatch a plan to blame the Libyans for the attack. Suits political agenda at the time. (5) Under intense diplomatic pressure Gaddafi plays ball and offers up two supposed agents for trial. The Libyans know the whole thing is B/S though. (6) Knowing that their man is innocent, they use every device possible to get their man off the hook. BP steps in and smooths things along.
