can some one explain why texas is involed in this? is this something to be concerned about for a long term holder?

I think that the TX attorney general needs to be more specific. He is showing his ignorance with regard to technology.

1. Non disclosure agreements are part and parcel of doing business in high tech and many other fields. If you are going to sue MSFT then you must also sue Ford, Sun, and on and on and on.

2. MSFT does not "dominate the market for computer operating systems worldwide." MSFT does dominate with about 90% market share in regards to PC operating systems. However, PC operating systems only account for roughly 10% of computer operating systems worldwide.

Perhaps Texas should sue DELL for selling more computers through the internet than any other company? Clearly they dominate this market and therefore must have a lock on every type of computer system sold.
