re: Aerie Networks, you were reading my mind. Teledesic, more to the point, if not Alexander Haig's SkyStation as well. Who knows. With the right execution they might actually pull it (or some fraction of it) off. The Nokia part would seem to add a huge amount of credibility to the scheme, but then again I recall tons of cash lost by Lucent and a dozen others during the bubble while supplying No. 5ESS and optical gear to CLECs that eventually went belly up, thus leaving LuLu and its peers holding the bag. Elsewhere today we were discussing the potential of a wireless bubble, also prompted by this story. What do you think about the timing of the press release coming a day after #msg-26698752, other than the fact that it's nothing more than a mere coincidence?
