I wrote this to the MOTLEY FOOL because of their ignorance.

"I'm very disappointed in your "Goats" section of today's Fool news.
You wrote, 'The announcement of a profit warning from WESTERN DIGITAL (NYSE:WDC - news) had repercussions throughout the disk drive industry today. Rival SEAGATE (NYSE:SEG - news), which has guided earnings expectations lower over the last two quarters and had experienced an 85% decline in first quarter EPS (before charges), fell $1 9/16 to $26 1/4 on concerns that pricing pressures will continue to erode its market share. QUANTUM (Nasdaq:QNTM -news) dropped $5 3/8 to $30 3/16 on similar concerns.'

Quantum did not drop on those concerns. I don't know why you would
assume that. Quantum does not have an eroding market share -- it is
increasing, taking away market share from WDC and SEG. Didn't you guys know that Quantum met estimates? They are doing fine, and the only reason that Quantum shares went down was because of misperceptions such as yours. I think Quantum shareholders deserve for you guys to note the difference. Quantum is a succeeding DD business.

Your opinions on my letter?

<<Quote.com details every single after-hours trade.>>

Tech,

I hope quote.com is correct and BMI is wrong. But lets go 2 out of three. Anyone else have access to reliable after hour quotes on Qntm.
I couldn't find any news to account for a sudden jump in price.

Dale

Tech,
I just visited their site and it has really changed since I last used it. I made the decesion to even try their "basic" service once again. Thank you for setting me stright on the type of quotes displayed. I will be very happy to see QNTM up $2 on Monday since it will make my decesion to purchase today at 30 3/16 a real pleasure.

When I saw the price down over $5 a share this afternoon, I just knew that Christmas had come early this year.
