All the verbal attacks on the right cannot change the horrendous past of slavery and segregation embraced by the democratic party.

KT,

>>Which is why they wish to return to those good old days before The Civil Rights Act. <<

More nonsense

They wish to live in a free country where there is no racism based on the merits of that position instead of a country where the values of a small majority are dictated to all.

The problem with 51% of the people dictating values (even when they are good ones) is that sometimes the 51% is not the group you agree with and sometimes they dictate things that are just as bad or worse.

For example, reverse discrimination is a terrible thing, but it's pretty much an extension of Civil Rights.

The crazy republicans that banned poker in the US did so with some EXCELLENT INTENTIONS.

Everyone knows the downsides of gambling and could see that thousands of potentially very productive members of society were throwing away important careers and educations to pursue potentially greater profits in poker. They also saw all the wannabees that were basically destroying their lives, families, etc.. in the same pursuit. So you could easily make a moral justification for banning it.

But that's not the country freedom loving people want.

They understand that freedom sometimes has downsides, but the upsides are greater.

The idea is to preserve freedom except when virtually all rational people agree that something should be illegal. That's what the Tea Party wants. The rest is lies that scumbags like you tell to advance your hellish agenda.
