Agree with your thoughts....but might take exception to "things aren't nearly as bad as they seem"

To who? If you don't have a job and are about to lose your home, how upbeat are you?

Just because the economy here and abroad may have stabilized, may not equate to sustainable growth. Sure, productivity has increased....and that's important...especially if you're lucky enough to still have a job to go to. I think in general, the perception has become that as long as the economy is not going further down, that is an improvement.

A few years back I decided it would be more fun to quite dealing with people and spend my time talking to cows.

For the most part....they make more sense.
