Oops, no, "light red" is a variant of "red". The word "light" modifies the word "red" in the above sentence. You did take grammar in grade school didn't you?

The word "regulated" when used in the phrase "regulated free market" clearly modifies the term "free market". Again, basic grammar. No one is trying to claim that "regulated free market" == "free market". For that matter, I'm not trying to claim that your "free market" == anybody else's "free market".

Perhaps you should learn to diagram sentences??
