slacker - QTL margins should trend up......i know it hasn't over the past years.....but there's been lots of legal costs and things like long-term research for OFDM booked in this unit. After BRCM and NOK litigation I'm surprised the costs relating to QTL steadily rose (the legal costs apparently have fallen) but its partly because they take costs for Samsung at the COGS line after their license renewal. i don't fully understand why we're not seeing more operational leverage here.

IMO - this is the acid test for QCOM - a licensing division shouldn't have such big costs. It needs to show it can raise margins in QTL.
