Geithner said at the hearing that he had always believed he was an employee, not a self-employed contractor, while serving at the IMF.[36]

And that has to be a bald-faced lie since employees have tax witheld whereas self-employed contractors do not. There was no mistake here. If TTT wants us to believe that then he is totally incompetent to do his job. End of story.

Reading comprehension fail.

Geithner testified that he used TurboTax to prepare his 2001 return, but that the tax errors were his own responsibility.[33][34] The Obama campaign stated that Geithner was advised by his accountant that he did not owe any taxes beyond those assessed by the IRS following the 2006 audit

First sentence:
Geithner prepared his own taxes in 2001 using TurboTax, and failed to report his income from IMF (despite signing a form stating that he understood he would have to report it) Why yes, Timmy, when you do your own taxes it is your responsibility. (Hmmm, how the heck did that but sneak in there???) I prefer: Geithner testified that he used TurboTax to prepare his 2001 return and the tax errors (sic) were his own responsibility.

Second sentence:
After his tits were in a wringer in 2006 he hired an accountant and paid only the additional taxes found during the audit.

Third and missing sentence:
TTT did not pay the additional taxes due until the rest of this came out in 2008.

It's not his fault.

The dog ate his homework.
