I regret my post to you on this topic. I thought about my earlier exchanges with you and others, and I have concluded that I should not have put myself in the position of defending Geithner and his tax issues. Back when they first came out, I had problems with them and really didn't think he would be approved for the TS position. Having said that, I have heard from people whose opinion I respect that he has done a good job [so far] as TS. For me, that makes his alleged attempts at tax evasion less important.
