Especially AM Radio. Now Clear Channel and others have printed money with hate radio programs and other crap. FM is still doing o.k., but so many planned music programs are hurting it. The best stuff seems to be on the college channels.

As a personal note, long ago I bought puts on ClearChannel and lost my entire premium. I dismissed the impact of Rush Limbaugh types, forgetting how popular Joe Pine and Wally George and Morton Downey were in their primes.

Dennis Miller is smart, though, sometimes his jokes take so long in the telling that I don't care about the punchline when I get there. However, the evening news format is his best milieu and he can't do that away from SNL. He tries on some of the Fox programs, but he doesn't have a real comedian on the receiving end, and it does make a difference.
