Government probably put them up to a monitoring to get the goods on them. Can't have a court case without evidence. How much do you want to bet their office isn't bugged by the feds? The FBI can't be that stupid. They have to see it as a stock scam. After that RCMP involvement in the Naxos case and the gang threats the alarm bells are ringing all over the bureau. The SEC is really tough compared to Canadian regulators. My bet is they want to give them enough rope to hang the whole lot of them. Look for tougher regs in the coming year on junior exploration plays. I know its coming down because of Bre-X in Canada.
