Precter was great in the 80's bull market, when we were all genuises,

he stated boldly a few months ag, that investors were being given the last chance to sell their stocks over 10,000 dow, for the next decade,

he is being roundly rejected on that and if the dow breaks out over 10,400, we may very well see a major move up

Agreed. The correction start from the May top looks like completed abc wave correction and now we are going to test the old high ~1260 and break out. We shall see. But, it has to breakout the trendline first as you pointed out...otherwise the c wave correction will continue.

However, if POG failed to breakout 1260 this up-leg would become d wave and begin e wave correction.

Hope this is the scenario we are looking at.

POG went further correction to 1155 on 7/28, but GDX moved sideways to ~47, which was the real bottom of this c leg. It appears that GDX and POG both are in their d leg and could hit the old high. Then, we shall see if they are going to breakout or turn lower for the e leg correction.

The alternate count would be the X-wave correction instead of the d leg at here. We shall see.

Ha.. this is fun...my PF is only ~4% away from ATH again. <G>
