Here there is a strong political force that does not want old people with money to pay extra just because they didn't spend their money earlier in their life. Therefore, you still get retirement pay from the government even if you are a millionaire.

However, it seems that even though health must be provided without discrimination by age, it is increasingly discriminated, although based on population statistics. If there is a very small chance that an old person can survive surgery, it is recommended not to take the surgery. Since most of health care expenses are in the final year of life, a lot of money can be saved this way.
