There are still significant assets to be disposed of (in several of the cases) through the bankruptcy courts... and SEVERAL of the larger of these firms were also ACQUIRED by much bigger banks who often are held responsible for any fraudulent actions that may have been taken by the predecessor companies. (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan, etc.)

(And it also may be possible, in the example of FRAUD being proven, to claw-back some of those 'golden parachutes' and billions in previously cashed out stock options and such from executives of the fraudulently operated firms....)

Billions have been recovered already ('put-back' to originators under the contracts they operate with)... and, no doubt, more Billions are to come.
