I've felt the mortgage interest deduction is an idea who's time has passed for a long time. If anything, they should give a rent deduction.

But, that would mean RAISING TAXES on millions of Americans. I can't see your team going for it Jim.

Do you remember when Reagan eliminated interest deductions on debt except for housing? Auto financing screamed bloody murder but managed to live on till it crashed right along with interest deduction subsidized housing. -g-
