It is in EU interest to keep the EUR alive and Benelux, France Austria and Germany will push it through. The rebellious worker unions will be dealt with not the US way - which also had its own union problem but they will bring them in line and harmonize most of the social benefits.

The professors will end up barking to the moon - as I wrote before their are idiots

It is clear to everyone in Europe that this is the only solution and at the end the population will throw out any government that will try to score points on the expense of not conforming with the EU rules.

Mentality in most Europe is different than that of the US and with the technological advancements in India and China et-al the US electorate better sober up quickly their education and ingenuity advantage is slipping fast
