Eric,

To the extent the Canadians restrict themselves to a single hostile market it is only to their detriment. Economic reality will eventually bring the oil south at some price - not determined by the Canadians. IMO they are very foolish to so limit themselves. It is up to them to figure out how to open the world market place to their energy products.

That is a typical, ignorant NIMBY comment. It just so happens that the US military and the US economy needs the oil. For example, it is oil (refined to diesel and gasoline) that moves low cost food around the country to consumers everywhere.

I remember back in the '60's moving off the farm into a new subdivision. Lawns were not common. Most folks had gardens or potatoes planted instead of lawns. Times have changed, and for the better.
