Horrendous levels of public debt and politically induced energy shortages and higher prices, among other issues, portend real economic pain and dislocation ahead. You are right. But the public debt is because Republicans refuse to pay for the services they demand and the energy shortages and prices will be the result of a failure to plan past a few years, when oil will become increasingly expensive to produce. But you guys won on energy so the future is so bright ya gotta wear shades.
