The fact of the matter is that "deregulation" put us in this mess. When our government allowed all these "Liar Loans" to go out it set everything up for the crash we are now suffering from. I don't know that we've really confronted these things even today. The bankers are still handing out billions in bonuses based on how much profit they can run up, regardless of what those profits are based on. I don't CARE what "Party" is running things, I just want them to NOT allow some small group of people to THREATEN my financial security just because they can make some extraordinary bucks in doing so. People talk about Social Security being unfunded, but yet these bankers are able to create TRILLIONS in unfunded derivatives and yet they seem to be able to elude everybody in doing so.
