Hey, Mo Do: the Obama WH doen't need an unwieldly bureau to run every fricken thing. They just need some grown ups who know what they are doing. Alas, there is nary a one, starting with Mr.Too-Quick-Draw-in-Chief.They routinely leap without looking when a little time for consideration is warranted, or bureaucritize decision-making when a prompt turnaround is needed. Maureen Dowd's op-ed today is titled "Obama's White House is Too White". She says they need an Office of Black Outreach. She says they should have recognized Sherrod's name and they didn't talk to a single black officeholder before acting.

.... the White House, who looks really stupid and panicked Essentially, there is not a single person in the WH who has the experience of managing through a serious issue, Emanuel included. Obama always employs what he believes is his strong card - charging racist, racism etc. He did it with Cambridge, He did it with Governor Brewer. Now, he is doing it with Sherrod. The guy is a one trick pony.
