no, the fed started to target interest rates i believe sometime in the early 90s. that's the most recent move that led to the financial crisis we're now in.

we have been on a slow steady march to socialism for almost a hundred years. and the further we move to socialism the less efficient our economy becomes and the more prosperity we lose.
