There was a good article in the Asia Times on the ISI double dealing with the taliban in the boluchistan region. I can't find it right now. With the ISI as it is, and our dealings with them, it's hard to imagine a good outcome.

ITt is not that simple I think. I see Obama making the same mistake on Afghanistan that Bush did; fail to see the enemy within

Worse! AT the beginning, Bush was correct going after bin Laden in Afghanistan, but then he pulled out from Tora Bora when bin Laden was cornered. Maybe because the family connection between Bush and bin Laden's father that allowed Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar escaped.

Then, Bush policy changed to fighting the Taliban and to protect Karzai. Obama continues this policy of nation building and relying on Pakistan to fight the Taliban. Seems that blood is thicker than water. Pakistan takes the money and helps the Taliban. We are very gullible in believing that Pakistan is our ally. The country even has nuclear weapons.

Suggestion: Fire Jone, the National Security Advisor, and get Colin Powell to take his place. We have a able statesman and yet Obama is not using him.
