Dead is dead, regardless of whether it is constitutional or not and whether one is hostile to the U.S.

However, in a democracy like the U.S. and having such a substantial amount of domestic violence that far surpasses the honor killings, makes one wonder which philosophy better protects and serves women? More women are dead at the hands of violence in the U.S. than in Islamic countries.
