No its not a secret, not hidden, but not the first thing people notice. Anyone just skimming the chart quickly would get a false impression. Not dishonest, just not the best representation of the most important relevant information.

Also its not a very important issue, or one most people will understand well, at least not without thinking about it a lot. "Share of income gains" is pretty meaningless. Even for those highly concerned about income inequality (and I don't share that level of concern), the rich getting a large share of income gain, doesn't mean there is a high level of inequality. And the non-rich getting any share means their absolute income (which I care about much more than relative income) is going up.
