The big problem with good small tech cos. is that change sometimes takes a lot longer than we mortals expect, and most of the small tech cos are not capitalized to wait it out. And sometimes you have everything right and it still doesn't work. I've often told the story of how I bought Ampex in anticipation of video recording becoming a great industry. It did, a decade and a half after I bought. But Ampex had sold its consumer division to Sony by then and went belly up on its commercial division. I should have bought Tampax, instead. <G>
