I think tejek is concerned that O will get the blame for the collapse. But O decided on day one it's not happeming on his watch. He quickly learned things were much, much worse than bush was leading the world to believe. O knew there was NO way he could fix it. So he'll just carry on playing pass the buck and collect his pension.

Very solid data would indicate the true rate of unemployment is probably between 15-20%. But if you use those numbers, then what was the "true" unemployment rate back in 2005 when all was rosy. The 9-10% is at least in the context of prior rates being 5%. If the "true" rate was close to 5% before, than there is indeed a significant difference between the two methods. If the prior rate was 15% and now its 20%, not much is different.
