I live in NYC and connect speeds are definitely challenged. But that is not what I am basing my assesment upon (although I admit being sensitized). It is on PC mag, CNET, reports.

PC Mag, by the way, is the integrity gold standard in PC industry competive analysis.

Dough. What I told you before was all wrong! I just discovered that the reason for the 28.8k connection limit with Fidelity internet MCI is that they are not supporting X2 technology yet. No the phone lines!

In general, I thing the quality of the copper network is very decent. I believe that USRX provides a test application in their web site to check one's line max connect speed.
