Claud--well the plot thickens. The first 2 times I called Tc tech support I got 2 different impressions. So, I decided to formally email them and spelled out their conflicting advice and asked what was the definitive answer re 6.5. They emailed me back this morning and said in writing that their "datacon no longer works with 6.x" (presumes this includes 6.0) and that I must use MS' downloader! I still haven't loaded anything into MS as I'm waiting for my elwave program and so I'm still kicking the tires. But, i must say that somebody's evidently wrong here. Possibly, if one has less than 256 stks in each TC data dir already, it may still work (i.e. I have 1250 so maybe I would need to first split them into 5-6 sub files before using datacon now--but that seems awfully cumbersome. So I'm asking myself 'why don't i just create 1-3 files in MS (depending on how fast I want it to work) and first click on the "maintain T.*DOP files box and then convert using the DL" As of now, that's what I'm planning to do.----note to other TC users who haven't yet tried MS yet, be sure to check whether or not you bought the 'propak' batch a few years ago 500 stks)-as i did---if you did you will need to tell the MS downloader that the source file is C:\TC2000\propak---not \data as is spelled out in the downloader manual.
